Newport Way Sidewalk: Grand Opening July 30

Hooray!! It's finally here! Yes, the long-awaited new Newport Way sidewalk and bike lanes are just about ready! The City is hosting a Grand Opening to celebrate the completion of this important Eastgate neighborhood improvement. 

Friday, July 30 from 1 to 2 PM
Location: Eastgate Park tennis courts on Newport Way (map below). You can park at the Library, but why not try out walking the new sidewalk?

• 1:00-1:30: Remarks by neighbors and city officials near the tennis courts at Eastgate Park next to the Community Center
• 1:45-2:00: Official opening and photos at the new mid-block crossing near the Community Center​
