Mark your calendars now and save the date for Monday, 4th of July for our 15th Annual Somerset Community Association Parade and Picnic in the Park. It’s a great day for neighbors to get together, have lots of fun and celebrate our country’s independence. We will have prizes for the best costume (most traditional, most original and most patriotically adorned family) and best decorated transport (bike, wagon, scooter). We gather at 10:30am at the Somerset Rec Center pool/tennis parking lot (4445 Somerset Blvd) at the corner of Somerset Boulevard and Somerset Drive. The walking parade along Somerset Drive starts at 11:00 am and the down-hill route is about 0.8 miles, ending at Forest Hill Neighborhood Park. Then it will be time for BBQ, hot dogs (regular and vegetarian), chips, drinks and dessert for all, hosted by the Somerset Community Association. Honey buckets will be available at the park also. Things will wrap up around 1:30pm, giving us plenty of time to rest up for the evening fireworks! Please bring the entire family! The Police Cruisers and Fire Truck will join us again this year. It’s the best way to start your day of celebration and honor our great county. Donations welcome. Hope to see you there! Save the date! Somerset Spring Community Meeting on May 19
