Thank you very much to everyone who participated in our Somerset Sun Fall 2020 Cover Contest!
It was great to see all the creativity, and the wide range of topics that were submitted. Click the pictures below to see them in full size. We have collected as many old versions of the Somerset Sun newsletter as we could find. Our goal is to create a complete historical archive.
Here is a full list of the copies we have been able to locate so far: https://issuu.com/somerset98006/docs Do you have any old copies that are not yet listed? We would love to digitize them and add them to our collection. Let us know at [email protected] or by calling Johannes Grad, the Somerset Communications Manager at 408-250-8622. The Lake Hills Neighborhood Association is hosting an online candidate forum for the 41st and 48th legislative district. Somerset is in the 41st district, this is a good chance to meet the candidates and ask questions.
Thursday, September 17th 7:00 pm – 8:30pm See here for more information and for the Zoom link: https://www.wearelakehills.org/2020/09/09/7th-annual-lake-hills-virtual-candidate-forum/ From the Washington Emergency Management Division:
Air quality continues to fluctuate throughout the state. Stay indoors as much as possible, try to keep your air indoors as clean as possible and limit outside activities. This air quality map as of noon, Sept. 8 comes from https://www.airnow.gov/ and this is the site to look for individual air monitors around you: https://tools.airfire.org/airtools/v1/pnw-smoke.html (both are mobile friendly). Also, information from state Health & Ecology officials on health impacts of smoke from fires (updated with COVID-19 guidance) https://wasmoke.blogspot.com/ |
