The Somerset NEP Project Idea cards have arrived in mailboxes!
So it’s time to put on our thinking hats! We need your ideas so we get the NEP (Neighborhood Enhancement Program) projects that benefit our Somerset Community Association homeowners the best! Project ideas will be able to be submitted through May 18th but let’s not waste time. So let’s talk about it!
Past NEP projects:
There was a significant landslide event early Monday morning, January 17, 2022 that severely damaged a home in our neighborhood and forced a number of nearby residents to evacuate the area. All impacted residents are reported to be safe and physically unharmed. A water main break was involved but the root cause of the slide is still under investigation.
Please see this announcement by the City of Bellevue. Also refer to the Bellevue Police Department Twitter Feed for images and up-to-date information from the scene.
Emergency alerts are a good way to be informed of significant hazardous events occurring in our immediate area. To sign up for Bellevue and other emergency alerts please visit the City of Bellevue Alerts and Notifications site.
Save the date for Sunday, July 4th for our 14th Annual Somerset Community Association Parade and Picnic in the Park!
We gather at the Somerset Rec Club pool/tennis parking lot. The walking parade along Somerset Drive starts at 11:00 am and ends at Forest Hill Neighborhood Park. We will have prizes for the best costumes!
Then it will be time for fun at the park. We are planning for either BBQ hot dogs or bring-your-own picnic. Honey buckets will be available. See our website at somerset98006.org for up to date information.
