NEP Project Ideas Wanted

The Somerset NEP Project Idea cards have arrived in mailboxes!

So it’s time to put on our thinking hats! We need your ideas so we get the NEP (Neighborhood Enhancement Program) projects that benefit our Somerset Community Association homeowners the best! Project ideas will be able to be submitted through May 18th but let’s not waste time. So let’s talk about it!

Past NEP projects:

• 2007: Removed the old ‘ponds’ water feature at the Somerset Blvd main entry, adding new waterfall and several ‘SOMERSET’ logo rocks at other entry points
• 2010: Replaced the playground equipment at Somerset Elementary school with more diverse and challenging apparatus

To get us started we’ve come up with some IDEAS for the kind of things that can use a $217,000 infusion

• Remove grass strips along the curbs on Highland Dr that aren't maintained by neighbors because they are either on the side or behind the homeowners lot
• Electrical power brought to the Forest Hill entry for lighting the trees for the holidays
• Renovating our cul-de-sac median planters that have overgrown?
