City to Resume Street Sweeping

Street sweeping in residential neighborhoods in Bellevue will resume Oct. 5 after a pause during the statewide, COVID-19-related Stay Home Stay Healthy order.

With more people working from home there have been more vehicles parked on the street during the day. That makes it difficult for street sweeping machines to operate effectively. You can help us keep roadways clean and safe in two ways:

• Move vehicles and other objects from the street during the day so street sweepers can operate. A few days in advance we will share via Nextdoor a rough schedule of when specific areas are slated for sweeping. Help us clean up more effectively by moving vehicles off the street during the announced street sweeping time frame.

• Trim back vegetation such as tree branches and shrubs that overhang the street. See the diagram below for guidance.
