Celebrate Lunar New Year with a Lion Dance
When: Saturday, February 17, 2024 - 2:00pm Where: Somerset Elementary School Come celebrate Lunar New Year with your Somerset Neighbors! The Somerset Community Association has invited an authentic lion and dragon dance troupe and Kung Fu masters to perform at Somerset Elementary on February 17 at 2:00pm. The event will include a lion dance, dragon dance with drums and a Kung Fu performance by the Shaolin master and his students! There will also be raffle prize drawings! See you there! Somerset Community Association The Somerset Community Association is in need of three volunteers to assist with the yearly financial audit. The purpose of the audit is to ensure transparency and accuracy in our financial records. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented and have a strong sense of integrity. No financial background is required.
It would take approximately 2 hours on a Saturday at the treasurer's home. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the success of our organization. Your contribution will be greatly appreciated! The event, hosted by BDAN (Bellevue Diversity Advantage Network) and Bellevue’s Development Department, takes place on February 8th from 5:30-8 pm at Stevenson Elementary School. The event will be free and open to the public or anyone who lives, works, learns, or visits Bellevue or who may in the future. Dinner, light presentations, information boards, and small group discussions are included in this forum. Please visit the Eventbrite page for more information. The King County Office of Emergency Management is hosting virtual training on basic disaster skills. Designed to support individuals and families who are working towards emergency preparedness. Topics covered include understanding local hazards, what to expect in an earthquake, creating your household emergency plan, building preparedness kits, and how to connect to location information sources before, during, and after an emergency. There are two opportunities to take this training. Registration is required.

For the first time since 300 Trees began distributing free trees in 2020, we are opening our program to all Eastside residents, schools, faith communities, and small businesses! Order Trees: Our goal is to distribute at least 1000 trees during this event. Each participant may request 1-3 trees using our online order form: https://300trees.org/freetrees/.
