INCLEMENT WEATHER, POWER OUTAGES, HAZARDOUS ROAD CONDITIONS
Our area, particularly b/c of the steep slopes and increasingly inclement weather at higher elevations, is particularly susceptible to inclement wind, snow and ice. Please drive safely and be aware of your surroundings if and when you venture out.
When there is a storm, many of us ask ourselves, “Will the power going to stay on?” particularly if there are heavy winds. There have been several storms that have impacted our area significantly, where the power was out for several hours to several days. POWER OUTAGE. The more reports of power outages in our area, the better the City and PSE can assess, start prioritizing and work on fixing the problem. Don't assume PSE knows that power is out.
Please call Puget Sound Energy at 1-888-225-5773 to report a power outage; and get your street prioritized based on the number of calls and degree to which you and your neighbors are affected.
You can also report it online and check PSE restoration updates at PSE's outage map. (PSE has an app for this)
For downed lines, take extreme precautions and stay far from it and don't go near anything it may be touching.
Call PSE and 911 and the City of Bellevue of hazardous conditions so that they will be able to further assess and to prioritize your call.
